Durham's first day of year-round school starts with cheers and full staff of bus drivers, teachers

Time flies! While most traditional calendar students in Wake, Durham and Johnston counties will head back to school in five weeks, Monday marks the first day of the 2025-2026 school year for year-round students in Durham.
