Live updates: Parts of I-40 covered in snow and ice, dozens of crashes already reported

We’ve already seen more than a dozen crashes in central North Carolina Thursday morning, including 4 crashes on I-40 East in less than 10 minutes. Please stay off the roads Thursday. Temperatures are in the 20s this morning, which means roads have already frozen over and are unlikely to melt anytime soon.
