According to the Clinton Police Department, officers responded to a shooting around 12:59 p.m. Saturday at a barbershop on 1303 Beaman Street. When police arrived, they discovered a private vehicle took the victim, 37-year-old Joseph Melvin of Roseboro, to Sampson Regional Medical Center.
