Trooper shoots, kills Fayetteville man wanted for murder after high-speed chase, shootout in Raleigh

The State Highway Patrol on Friday identified the speeding driver who was shot and killed by a trooper in a Raleigh neighborhood as Jaylen Latrelle Routt, 20, of Fayetteville. Routt was wanted for murder and other charges in Cumberland County, according to the SHP.
