When can kids get the shot? Providers wait on CDC to start taking appointments

Although the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is widely expected to follow the lead of the FDA this week and approve emergency authorization for a Pfizer vaccine to be administered to children ages 5 to 11, county health departments and major medical systems surveyed by WRAL News on Monday said they’d wait for that call to begin making appointments.
