Garner WakeMed shooting: Officer killed, suspect also shot during 'struggle'

WakeMed campus police officer Roger Smith died in a Saturday morning shooting at the WakeMed Garner Healthplex. Smith was called a “local hero” by Knightdale police, where he worked for 16 years.
