Hammocks Beach ferry service to reopen Friday

The Hammocks Beach State Park ferry service to Bear Island will be reopening Friday after being closed for nearly a year following damage from Hurricane Florence.Park staff are readying for a shortened ferry season and will be opening most of the park facilities on Aug. 30, according to a press release from Hammocks Beach State Park.
