Once living in motel room, ballet dancer Misty Copeland thrives on the stage

From motel home to New York ballet stage, Misty Copeland coming to Chapel HillAfter 15 years of hard work, Misty Copeland was named principal dancer at the American Ballet Theatre, becoming the first African American woman to do so. She’s coming to Memorial Hall at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Sept. 6.
